B4-522 Canopy

In May on Djurgården, one of Stockholm’s fourteen islands, a verdant forest is bathed in the faint light of a low-lying sun. One of the northernmost capital cities in the world, Stockholm sees more than 18 hours of daylight in late spring and summer. When the longest day of the year arrives in June, many of the city’s residents escape to second homes in the countryside to celebrate. Those who travel to northern Sweden – also called the Land of The Midnight Sun – will experience 24 hours of continuous sunlight.
